adjusting roller lifters after car has run

Moter built car runing wanna change springs roller lifters pumped up.Now do you adjust by taking the lash out and still 3/4 turn or untill quiet.ive seen alot of articals about preload but not after running the car and wanting to change springs.or ive just missed it all replys welcome

it depends. the valvetrain manufacturer should give a recomendation on valve lash. or you can adjust til quiet, but make sure not to over tighten.

You want to adjust the preload afte the car has run so the lifters are pumped up.

Take the load off the lifters, change your springs, then preload the lifters in sequence abou 1/2 to 3/4 a turn for a street motor.

What spring are you installing, and how is this motor run? Street, track, etc.
