Looking to see what is the maximum camshaft i can go on a ZZ502 crate engine. Or any info to get a little more hp out of it. It's still just like I bought it. Nothing been done to it. Running 6.40's to 6.50's in it in a door car 2300 lb.Any info will be helpful.

                    Thanks,

What's gonna limit the amoung of cam is the amount of valve travel you have. Using a checker spring and dial indicator, you need to find out how much valve travel you have before the bottom of the spring retainer hits the guide. Subtract .060" from that, and you have your max allowable cam lift.
