Situation: injectors aren't firing. I've got power on the power side of the injector wiring and ohmed the negitive back to the computer. The ground wire is fine. Computer has already been replaced and still the injectors dont fire. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Jason

you did not say which motor you have.... and which fuel injection system and ignition system you have...

start here...

http://www.autozone.com/az/cds/en_us/0900823d/80/12/3f/3d/0900823d80123f3d/repairInfoPages.htm

you need a scan tool to look for cranking rpm before the injectors will pulse...  if you have used a test light to watch the ecm pull the injector to ground you may have let the smoke out of another ecm....   and you did swap over the chip???????/   read how to do it above..

i have a 86 s10 factory manual next to my right elbow...

what codes did you find????? when you scanned for them or jumpped the proper terminals on the aldl connector.????

i am quite familiar with this system...

ECM's contain software routines that keep your engine from running when it senses the engine is in danger. The way they do this seems a little on the odd side to me. If you've checked everything else and nothing makes sense this may be your problem. I once had a 4cyl that I narrowed the problem down to the ecm flooding cyl 1 and 2 preventing it from starting. The problem was the ecm was reading an overheat condition from a defective temp sensor. After changing out the temp sensor problem solved. So don't discount that the ECM may be doing this on purpose if it senses something is wrong. You also need a working crank position sensor or else it won't know the engine is turning.
