Okay, so Jay Leno pulls up in the new ZR-1 and tells everyone that the paint for this car is somewhere is the neighborhood of $900.00 an pint (or somewhere around that number) How the He%* could it be that much? I remember when the cameleon colors in the late 90's were really expensive, but I just can't understand the price on this color. Jeff

Actually the paint on the ZR-1 has the same pigment as our dollar bills have in them. When you have to paint one of these cars with this particular paint code, you have to call a BASF auto sales rep. You have to buy exactly what you think you are going to use, then after you paint it the rep comes back by and picks up the remaining liquid, to keep people from making counterfeit money. BASF is the only company that has this type paint. Plus Jay Leno has a Diamont (BASF) mixing system in his garage.
