I am trying to get more horse power out of my totally
stock engine, and don't even know where to start, I've heard about engine chips but know almost nothing about them, are they right for me? would they do what i'm looking for? what about the exhaust? should I pipe it? please give me some feed back.

I Have a Yukon/XL with the 6.0L engine. I also seek more power and fuel mileage.  So far all I have done was to swap the air cleaner system for a GM Performance parts cold air system, Gained a very small med - range power increase and lost 1/2 mile per gallon.  I will try the GMPP exhaust next and hope to have better results.

If you want the most power for the dollar. Buy a programmer from hypertech. It is all very basic yes and no questions. No tools or knowledge required. Just get the programmer specific to your truck and engine.
