I have a 84 C10 with a 350 currently at 355ci with some serious mods. The TH400/700R4 auto isn't an option anymore and would like to install my muncie 4 speed manual trans. Does anyone have tips on preforming this or maybe knowledge of a kit to support?

This isn't a hard one.

What you need to do, find a C10/C20/C30 truck in a yard that's got a manual transmission. Salvage off the WHOLE pedal assembly, and off the frame any cluitch parts like the clutch linakge, fork, brackets, etc. You'll also need to get the crossmember that mounts the manual trans, and probably the bellhousing too.

Hey thanks for the input. I wasn't sure it was going to be that easy, but I'm glad to see that someone else thinks(or knows) it can be done. I've got the trans already mounted to the engine in my shop, so now its time for some shopping. Do you think the crossmember that held the auto could be customized to work? Just a thought... Thanks!
