I'm finally biting the bullet and started prepping my car for paint. Seems that all 57's have had at least 5 paint jobs with horrible bodywork. I'm debating on baking soda blast, but with all the undercoating/paintjobs, I thinking about dipping the body. Any ideas? Can you still dip a car? I'm in Arizona now, but the car is still in California. Thanks, Jeff.

Yes, you can still dip a car. I was talking with some friends at a body shop a couple of days ago, they still use a dip method for cars they're working on.
If your '57 has a lot of undercoating and road gunk buildup, I'd go with dipping the car.
By the way, what model is your '57?

Sorry for the delay. My car is a 2 door post Bel Air. smal block, nothing really special. Now here's the question, where can I go to dip this thing? I'm in Arizona, but the car is in Orange County, California. Help! Jeff

It doesn't matter what state. I just can't find a (relaible)shop that can dip or blast the car. I don't want to take a grinder to it. I want to do it right. Jeff.
