I recently purchased a 1988 IROC (barely running).  It has the 350 TPI, 700r4 but needs significant body work on the front end.  The kid I purchased it from had these little tires on the front and it looks like the kid bottomed out so much that the front frame is bent and even torn in some spots.  Does anyone know of a comapny that makes "front clips" for this year car   ?  My other option is to find a car in good shape up front and cut it out to replace mine .  Any thoughts or advice would be appreciated...

Do yourself a favour..make sure that it's the facia, and not the frame that is bent up/cracked....you don't want to have to perform surgery to restore the car. Besides, if the frame is a mess, it is very likely to be twisted also. You'd be surprised at the amount of damage "bottoming out" can do. Check out some after market kits to restore the front end....or make freinds with a welder, lol !!!
GOOD LUCK !!

I would first take it to any bodyshop and get an estimate for the front end. Most shops write estimates for free and would be familar with structural repair. Better yet get at least 2 estimates. Any insurance company with give you a list of approved shops they use.Hope this helps.

First thing is jack the car up there are holes on the bottom side of the frame on each side that are measuring points measure like you are framing up a wall to see if its square if you have twist thats a problem.  If you have just damage on the front of the frame most shops charge $60/hour on frame pulls do yourself a favor and pull body parts off like bumper and fenders that way its easier for the frame guy to pull and it takes cost off of the labor time.  See if you can get the frame pulled before you cut and swap when you heat the frame it loses strength. If you have to cut and swap do a lap weld on the frame not a butt because its much easier.  Measure 10 times cut once and dont forget to take the gas line off before you start.

before buying any 3rd gen F body i would open the hood... and have somebody work the steering wheel back and forth while i was watching the steering box... if it twists the left front frame horn may be delamanating..... there is an aftermarket brace that goes across and bolts on under the sway bar brackets to stiffen up the front end... ...
