Just watching the auction this last weekend and could not believe the prices on cars. It was cool to see some rare stuff, but I wonder where these cars go? Anyone know?

More often than not, this cars get bureid in warehouses or private collections and will never see the light of day again. Worst thing is, the cars will sit, which means they'll deteriorate faster than if they were driven once in a while. It's sad in more ways than one.

Price get worse and worse every year at Barrett-Jackson. Saw a '58 Impala, 348 tri-power car sell for $140k! Saw a restored (but not original) '56 Chevy convertible sell for $70k, and the non-original motor was only a powerpak 265!

These people with more money than brains are killing the hobby, because they're making everything unaffordable for us common guys who work for a living!

The only deal I saw all weekend was an orignal '66 Caprice 396 (325 HP) four-speed equipped car, in immaculate condition, sell for $20k. That's about or less than what you'd pay for a new Impala, and we know which car is better!
