Just read the article on here comparing these fine examples of Chevy muscle. I would lean towards the Chevelle though as my favorite of the three. I had a 67 Chevelle and wish I still had it. Sweet car, was nicknamed the Blue Leopord, since it had black primer spots all over it. Was like that when I bought it and never got it painted. My cousin owns a 67 Chevy II and I mean WOW! It's beutiful and fast. While these three are icons of the muscle car era for Chevrolet, and rightly so, my favorite of all time is the 65 Impala. Love the crisp lines and cool tail lights. A 65 427 SS Impala with a 4 speed was an awsome sight and sound. Then there is the rare 396 SS. From what I have read only a handfull were made before the 427 was available. It also holds the record for sales of all time with over 1 millon units. Not exactly sure but I think it beat the 63 Ford Fairlane that held the record before. Hope I didn't offend anyone using that four letter "F" word, trying to keep it clean in here. By the time the 50th anniversery rolls around for the 65 I hope my Impala will be ready to maybe grace the pages of any magazine. It will be a bit different since it is a 4-door sedan. I call the project, "SSWANAB" since I plan on installing bucket seats, center console, SS trim work, a pavement burning powerplant, ugraded suspension all around, and either a beefed up powerglide or the TREMEC 5-speed conversion kit. I really wanted a 4-door hard top like I owned after the Chevelle but the sedan showed up at the right time and right price. Wish I still had that one also.
