So what is the most economical way to add rear disc brakes to a 73 Cparice?  Anyone know?

That one's gonna be tough. Without changing to an orignal disc 9-inch rear from a Lincoln Versailles, your best bet is to check out the Stainless Steel Brakes website and see if they have a rear disc kit for your Caprice, and I'll bet they do.

Your only other option is to see if you can find a wrecked late 70s F-body that had rear-discs you can pirate all the hardware off of, and see if it'll fit your Caprice.
