I am a new subsciber but have wrenching for about 15 years now.  I would love to see more articles on inexspensive how-to's, articles on how to make your own tools, more build-ups on easy to find engines such as 454's from 1 ton trucks and junk-yard small blocks.  What junk cars should I be looking for to get great parts from (motor, tranny, rear-end, bucket seats).  And absolutly positively NO MORE CAMARO's.  I've seen so many camaro's my eyes hurt.  First gen. camaro's stopped being the practical choice a long time ago.  Lets move on to third gen and 4th gen Novas, monte carlos, malibu's etc.  I realize that bolts are bolts and cams are cams, but you need to realize that young readers get excited when they see a car like their own in the mag, it helps them immensely just to see another car like their own, and frankly, most of your young readers cant come close to being able to afford a camaro.  So anyway, stop with the 69's already- it's already been done a million times!

Oh yeah, I would also like to see a good list of websites that help car-guys and gilrs with things like paint selection and tire fitment.  I used to go to a site and it would allow you to specify make and model of your car and it would bring up a pic of the car, then you could adjust the stance, wheel design, tire size, and the color of the car.   This was so cool, but now that I'm actually in the process of painting my car, I need access to a site like that but unfortunatly, the site no longer exists.  How about helping us take the guess work out of the expensive stuff!

I would rather see some more track times w/ complete setups rather than dyno numbers. Either flogging it in the twisties or in a straight line.

Do another danger mouse type build and go even more low buck than before?

Show more chassis design and setup info. I'm about to put an IRS in a vehicle that never had it and I would love to know what not to do before I do it.

How about old school vs. new school. You know, single Dominator vs. tunnel ram to see which runs better with equal cfm ratings.Or,points distrubutor vs. MSD to see if the *** for all the fancy stuff really makes a difference.

Budget build-ups,,,all makes, strokers, de-strokes( has everyone forgot about them)??
carb jet configuration due to temp, cam and altitude---per cfm's. How the ordinary weekend garage hot rodder can completly re-build a car in 30 min. like all the t.v. shows say we can?????....

I think budget is the common theme. I'm tired of reading about a motor that costs more than most people have in thier whole car. What about monthly how-tos like changing ring and pinion gears? re-wiring a car without a $400 kit, fitting a diamond plate firewall, things that someone could actually do spending under a certain amout, 0-$300 lets say and in a weekend.
How about price comparisons and reviews of some of the rebuilders out there? A trip on Ebay will net you a few builders that say they have been in the biz for decades. Thier motor packages are pretty similar. How about a review and price comparison of some of the bigger builders? You could include GMPP crate engines in it. Some of these engines can be had for the price of a new set of alluminum heads and a polished intake.

I hear you on that some of these engines are worth more than my car if I sold it twice.
