I have a 89 C3500 (TBI 454) that I did a used engine swap and the motor I swap'd with didn't have a distributor in it. So, I used the one out of the old motor, with one problem (Timing location).
I looked in the book ...it said place it at TDC line up the white paint mark on the lower shaft, install and the pointer should be at the #8 inprinted on dist. base.
That's all well and good if my old distributor had some white paint on it or even a #8 inprinted in it,
but I have nothing.
Can anyone help me?
