A quick question and maybe I'm just paranoid. This is my first build of a 454 and to me it just seems the harmonic balancer sticks out a little far, however doesn't seem to want to move anymore. Does anyone have an idea of how far the gap is??? Maybe I'm used to small blocks where the all suck right up, but I want to make sure....Thanks I appreciate any advice I can get.

my clearance runs about 3/16". it's a MK-VI with the cast timing cover. if it's bottomed out against the crankgear, it is where it's going to be. does the crank pulley line up with the accessory pulleys?

Not quite but damn close....I'm still not flush with my crank end, but it doesn't seem to want to move anymore. I measured the balancer against the original they are the same?????? I'll give it one more try tomorrow if it wont move, thats where it's gonna stay....Thanks for your help....
