Ok please dont laugh but...

Umm ok i jus recently purchased a Chevy S 10 Ls short wheel base 2.2L truck and i KNOW its not exactly a kick ass platform for power but i later will be putting a 305 in it but for now till i can save up for that i would like to make it sumwhat more powerfull and im looking for any ideas on what i can do to gain say in the ball park of 50-60 Hp i already have in mind a cold air intake , header, and an underdrive pulley ( air bypass). if u have any ideas on ways to gain extra horsepower please share.

About your only option with that motor is either a turbo/blower, or a nitrous system.  

The topic title doesn't matter, this is laughable. Why would you want more power from your four cylinder? Why waste the time? It's still a 4 cylinder, putting money in the gas tank is already too much for a 2.2L and you're going to put a header on it? This is very funny...  

Save your $ for a 350,383,400,406 instead of a 305 or 2.2 speed parts(oxy-moron?)  

I'm with the olds guy, save the money from the gas mileage and put it towards another motor. You should set up the truck for the other motor too. Bigger front springs, larger radiator and motor mount adapters are just a few things you will need. The swap will not be cheap. Get a couple books by jtr publishing, they are chevrolet tpi and tbi engine swapping and s10 v8 conversions. The best route in my opinion would be to pull the engine and complete harness from a fuel injected v8. The package would be dependable and spin the tires easily.

When the 2.2 says "uncle", then you will have good excuse to drop a real motor in.
