hi i have a 1979 camaro with a sb 305 in it. It is carburated and doesn't push crazy amounts of power. I didn't want to swap engines so fast so i decided maybe il throw some nitrous in it. Is there a possible set-up for my car and if so what is it? Are there major mods i would have to do in order for my engine to withstand the nitrous? thanks

check your fuel pressure. a tune up w/ good plugs is a must, most will say go to a colder plug. retard the timing, a good kit will tell you how much for what power level. I wouldn't go crazy on the spray though, nothing over a 125 shot, for sure. The edelbrock kit or the basic sniper kit would be a good starting point.
Worst case scenario it will motivate you to build the next engine a little sooner when things go badly.
