First post here but have a major problem!
The car is a 1993 Chevrolet Caprice 5.0 TBI
I recently changed the intake manifold gasket, valve cover seals, thermostat and the ETS, and fuel filter... after replacing all this I cannot get the car to start after sitting for periods of time, it will start after being warmed up. I have checked distributor timing, all electric connectors, vacuums, cleaned the injectors, etc. I dont think its fuel related because the car runs GREAT after you get it started, no struggles and I recently drove the car over 1,000 miles with no problems but am stumped on what to do next. ANY advice would help!

Lets go back to the beginning. Why did you have to replace the intake gasket?
Are you getting a check engine light?
How do you warm up the engine without starting it?

Originally my water pump went out, so I replaced that...then come to find out the intake manifold was leaking water and my radiator was old so I replaced the radiator and the manifold, which involves taking pretty much everything off including the distributor, throttle cables, etc. I do not get a check engine light at all and as for it being warm, I mean as to say I get it started and drive around for 10 minutes and come back.. it will start the first try every time. If its cold from sitting the car will not start at all.
