Hey everyone, new to this. I live in Australia and I have a Holden 1967 HR Panelvan. at the moment it has the standard 186 engine with the 3spd column shift, but i am doing a complete rebuild of the car. This means I am losing the 186 and replacing it with a brand new 350 and installing a T350 gearbox. Problem is I am new to cars and engines but to learn you have to be thrown in the deep end hey. I am wanted to get a new crate engine shipped out to western australia but I am wanting it to be around 400hp and very reliable so I am just wondering what I should be installing into the engine and all the technical details I may need.
CHeers for any help

Installing into the engine? Technical details? Way too vague, we can't sit here and write a book we need to know what you need help with...

If you buy the right crate motor, you won't have ot worry about adding parts, you can just drop the motor in the car.
As far as what to order, that depends on your budget. I'm not sure how GM Performance Parts sells crate engines in Australia, so you might have to order one from the States.
Since you're new to working on cars, best advice for you is to find a local car club and start hanging out with the guys that have experience, ask them questions, and see what they've done to their cars.
