I have an 88 chevy truck. It's a 350 with headers and a MTC-1 cam going in it. I have some large port heads off a 75 Monte Carlo. Will they bolt up ok without modifications or problems with the TBI. Thanks Tony

No they will not just bolt on, the 1986 and later heads have different bolt angle on the two center bolts on both side of cylinder heads.

Uh, those heads WILL bolt on to your '88 TBI engine. The intake bolt angle on the '88 motor is the same as all pre-vortec head small blocks. The Vortec heads have the different intake bolt angle, plus on the Vortec heads the center two intake bolts on both sides are eliminated.
The problem you're gonna run into is the ports not matching up well between your '88 TBI intake and the large port heads from your '75 Monte. To get the most from those heads, you want to get an intake manifold from a '92-'95 Chevy truck. In '92, GM started putting a bigger TBI on the trucks, and this included a bigger manifold to handle the bigger TBI.
Another thing to get the most out of the better heads, check out Turbo City's website ( www.turbocity.com ) they special in GM TBI performance, and offer high-flow throttle bodies and accessories.

Phill, do you enjoy giving false information? Cast-iron, '87 & later heads (centerbolt covers) will have the canted intake manifold bolts, i highly doubt that intake manifold will bolt-up...
