Hey everyone,
I'm Seth and I don't really know anything about cars minus changing the oil, etc. lol Anyways, it's always been a little dream of mine to buy an older used car and turn it into a really fast/beautiful vehicle and just the other day I believe I found what I was looking for. I'm going to get an '85 black Monte Carlo SS, it's actually pretty nice looking as is and especially for the asking price but unfortunatley for me that's where it ends. You see, with my limited knowledge I don't really know of anywhere to buy/browse performance parts and other parts for visual detail so I was wondering if anyone could maybe give me some URL's of a .com that deals in parts/accessories or even a number for a catalog I could order? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.
See ya,
J.S. Maynor

Hey, Bro! If I was you, I would go to the local drag-strip and talk to the gear-heads around and hopefully you’ll come across a good hot-rodder that will take you under his/her wing and coach you on all the right choices and not rape you in the wallet. Do this or find someone you can trust first before you spend any money! It will save you heart-burn in the future...
Check with you soon!

yea that probably would be the best way, head down and make friends. Most car guys are happy to help a new kid out especially if your truly interested.

Gotta agree with the excellent advice from everyone else, head down to your local track and just hang out and look at what everyone's got, then ask questions and make some friends.

the best advice when building a monte ss is rip out the 305! they are nice cruising cars, but the stock 305 motors hardly have enough power for normal driving. put in a hyped 350 and you'll love it. i have a 3700 lb truck with a 350 bored 60 over in it and it flies! i don't have track times yet, but soon. I am still working out kinks in my drivetrain.
