Hello, my name is Bill. I recently purchased a nearly original 1973 Monte Carlo. The only changes to the car are the wheels and the factory radio. I have been looking online for the past 2 weeks for a 13 digit vin decoder with no luck. I have even emailed chevy with no answer. I leave for Iraq in a week and hope to decode it before I leave. The Vin number is 1h57y3k549935. Here is some info I found:

Is there any way to find out the original amount paid for the vehicle? The title was from OK. I purchased the car on Ebay from a guy that claimed to buy it from the original owner. However, he never had it put in his name. I remeber the owners name and the price that was on the title. How would I go about finding out how many people owned the car before me?
Thanks, Bill
