Just wanted to post a few questions thinking there might be someone out there that might be able to help.  Although I'm not an engine person I tried to build my first motor and I've had no luck.  I'm not giving up as this will be a good way to learn from my mistakes, but, if there's someone out there that could help would be very much appreciated.  Here is the info of what I have been working with:

Block 3903352  327  1967 2 bolt 327.......forged..small journal....3.25" stroke

Heads: 3782461....64-66...327......Camel hump,no accessory holes,160/62cc port volumes,62cc chamber

CAM duration at .50” in. 224 degrees EX. 234 degrees Lift in. .465 EX. .488 Lobe Separation 114

Rollers: Erson 1.60 roller rockers

Oil Pump: Melling high volume

Carb: Holley Streetadvenger

Intake: Eldelbrock Street Performer

Crank: Steel Crank

It seems I did not break in my cam correctly the first time and only after a few miles I rounded the back lobe off.  After checking my lifters; the one in ther area that I rounded the cam was so egg shaped that the only way to remove it was to drop it to the cam galley for removal.  After I removed the cam I cut a small piece of PVC pipe to fit in the cam galley so I could drop the lifter. I then removed all the oil and tried to get all the metal shavings out.  I then put in new lifters, push rods, cam and tried to do it again. Now the car runs real strong but once it's up to operating temperature and I'm stopped at a light (under load) the oil pressure drops to almost zero.  When I start moving it jumps back up to sixty.  I'm at a loss... should I drop a new oil pump or should I start from zero? Any help would be appreciated.

Where are the oil galley plugs? should they be on? off?  also,  someone told me that my having your crank berrings go bad could also make the oil pressure drop... is this true?  The motor does not even have 500 miles.  Thanks for your help
