Howdy. I'm in the process of installing copper header and collector gaskets on my ZZ4 equipped '75 Corvette. What do you think about these? I'm experiencing a problem getting them to seal at the head on the passeneger side. I'm picking up a replacement copper gasket on the way home tonite to see if that will solve the leak issue. The copper collector gaskets seem to be working fine. I'm also have some concerns about using stainless allen/socket head bolts into aluminum heads? Some say never mix aluminum with stainless? Galling problems?? Some say stainless and aluminum can be mixed if you use a anti-seize compound on the threads? What kind of anti-seize? copper based, lead-based??? What about electrolosis between the bols and the head? Should I be concerned about copper touching the aluminum head? Has anyone used the new alumnum header gaskets or, the latest I saw on the weekend, carbon header gaskets? ..................... nascar03
