I have a 1979 Monte Carlo with an LT1 and 4l60 from a 96 caprice. The rear is the stock 7.5 ring gear but the ratio was bumped to a 3:73 with an auburn limited slip and boxed upper and lower control arms. The tires are Firestone radials for now, I plan to run Mickey Thompson ET Streets but I have developed a wicked wheel hop issue since the rear end upgrade. I have changed the pinion angle a bit and my 60 foot times have improved but I can't even do a burn out without the rear end hopping around like crazy. I know the 7.5 rear end will not take this abuse too much longer so I need some advise. I am thinking of swapping the stock sway bar for a Spohn drag race sway bar but I would like to know if I am overlooking something before I spend that much cash. Any advise would be appreciated.
