Greetings just wanted to know has anyone installed the 5.3 engine,or ls1 engine into an early model g.m of there's if so what i wanted to know is what kind of trouble did you go through trying to performe this job as far as computer control and transmission and ect:? also what i wanted to know is i know that eldelbrock has made an intake manifold to adapt a carb to these motors,what i wanted to know on this is does the motor have to have the original computer to perform this setup? i have heard that u can install a th350 or a 400 transmission to these motors but im not sure if this is true or not also one more thing if anyone has done this did you have to refurbish your oil pan on the 5.3 or ls1 thanks
