personally, the performance and drivability you gain from switching over to efi doesnt offset the cost.friend swapped an efi on his pro street 55 belair with an LS6 454,did everything by the book, switched cams etc. and wasnt impressed at all.he switched it back and sold the unit on ebay.but ive heard lots who have swapped and they said its the best thing they did,so its a matter of opinion.

well i plan on using it for street/strip. so i'm not sure if EFI is better or will rob the engine of power. i'm rebuilding the engine anyway so the change of cams and heads the whole 9 was gonna happen anyway.

With the proper induction simply adding fuel injectors over a carburetor is not going to cost power, actually it will probably gain power in the bottom end and mid-range. Considering only top-end power a well set-up carburetor can match fuel injection for output but the advantages of fuel injection for a street machine are undoubtedly noticeable.
