New Camaro!

Saw my first one on the street today in STL The guy was driving it in the rain...  

oh cool!!! maybe i'll see some closer to where i'm at soon. so was the guy dragging his ass while driving or was he having fun with it?

I had hopes of the new camero being designed with the classic lines of the '69, there are 3 of them running the streets here. It is truely disappointing what GM has put out the door for the new camero, a square fender..square trunk..ugly euro looking car...its no wonder GM is in deep trouble. I really liked the Mustang, Ford did a great job,I like the Challenger also, But I have held off waiting for the new Camero...that was a waste of time. I never thought I would buy a ford, but I am buying a Mustang GT.

GM needs to understand there are guys and gals out here that couldnt afford a '69 camero back then, but we are now very much able to buy and load the car with lots of options, then add aftermarket goodies, but we are not going to buy something that in no way represents the old camero.....Ford gets my cash.  

*** THAT!!! The new camaro looks closer to the original than the mustangs do, and i bet you'll see a hell of a lot less of the camaros. i'm so sick of seeing mustangs i'd rather see someone driving any chevy, flop or not, than see someone with one of those, seriously. the challengers i'd rather see people driving (even though they look more like the old chargers than the new chargers ***

the mustangs now look nothing like the old ones, at least the camaro has the general look but more rounded, of course it's not going to look alot like the old ones, but it's as close as its going to get. i think ford should just stop making mustangs, they're as common as dirt and anyone can drive one.

Hopefully GM wont make a Camaro wagon like they did with the CTS. That would be a buzz kill.

im not so worried about them turing it into a wagon as i am with them turing it into a famaly friendly sedan like dodge did with the charger  

i realy hate to stick up for ford on a chevy website but jimmy0 one of the main points of the mustang was a performance car that the average person could afford. Unless you are a hardcore ford fan or dont feel like laying down the cash for a new vette or now the new camaro then there realy is no other choice than a mustang. i would agree with you on that they are just about as common as dirt..... but its the ones that you dont see every day like roush, shelby, cobra, and cobra r mustangs that the new camaro should be competing with. not the avrage gt and v6 mustangs that are such a plague on everyones eyes.  

i have a feeling i'm not gonna win this one...=/ i hate to admit you're right, which is saying something, cause' i don't do it often. but i still have to say i'd rather bust my ass for the money for a camaro or something  

As would I, but it looks like roush will be getting my money because the stock gt mustang is all noise, and the new camaro is 45 grand for the one i would like and its not that well optioned as far as performance.  

My new Shelby will be here in 3 weeks...sorry GM you just dropped the ball on this one!! I have NEVER owned a ford product....but Ford did stand on thier own two feet and not take the Govt. bail outs.  

ford doesn't need to borrow money cause' they make plenty repairing thier shitty cars
