I have a 71 Chevelle Malibu. The exterior is very nice it's Baltic Blue, Cowl Induction Hood, interior new updated 60/40 front seat back seat reupolstered same fabric ect. my question is I have the stock 307 with turbo 350, I want to upgrade the engine.I have been looking and found a couple of options. 1 a L98 350 complete with computer, wiring harnesses,700 R4 transmition,TPI setup, ect. from a 1988 corvette. 2 a 1994 350 and turbo 400. The first one sounds good but how much trouble will I have with motor mounts, transmition mounts, wiring ect. I saw the article on build a SS clone for cheap. Also should I just keep it stock for the future investment ??? Help !!!

your biggest hurdle will be the wiring, the motor bolts right up,the trans crossmember will need to be moved back and new holes drilled in the frame[real easy]the driveshaft needs to be shortened about 3 inches[a new one would be better]this smallblock/overdrive is the best way to go,if you take out the 307/350 and store them you won't have to worry about originallity.good luck your finished swap will well be worth it ........... nickyb.
